In the chemical laboratory, various harmful odorous gases, odors, moisture, and corrosive substances are generated during experimental operations. In order to protect the safety of users and prevent the spread of pollutants from the experiment to the laboratory, a fume hood should be used near the pollution source.
This style of fume hood is a customized fume hood specifically designed for perchloric acid. Users are requested to conduct experiments based on the chemical properties of perchloric acid. Relevant experimental procedures must be followed during the experiment, and high concentration and high-dose perchloric acid experiments should not be directly hung inside the fume hood.
The alkaline water neutralization and circulation system behind the fume hood guide plate is a primary neutralization system, which ensures that there is no accumulation of high concentration residual chlorine acid in the fume hood, which may cause combustion, explosion, or large-scale heat generation chemical reactions. It does not guarantee that it can meet the relevant national standards for exhaust gas emissions. If the emission standards corresponding to national environmental protection are met, a secondary neutralization reaction needs to be carried out on the fan side.

Structural and functional characteristics
1. The cabinet is made of white PP board that is resistant to strong acids, alkalis, chemicals, and impacts, seamlessly welded and formed with a thickness of 8mm. The overall product has the characteristics of strong acid and alkali resistance, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, and never embroidery.
2. The countertop is made of various materials such as solid core physical and chemical board, PP board, ceramic board, etc.
3. The left and right side panels and front panel are designed to tilt inward at a 30 ° angle, and the front panel is seamlessly welded to the left and right side panels for easy operation. The cabinet can be equipped with optional water and gas faucets, sinks, and control valves. The front panel is equipped with an auxiliary air inlet, which can provide supplementary air when the regulating door is closed.

The inner lining is made of 8mm thick PP board with integrated welding process, and there is excellent air tightness between the inner linings; Ensure that harmful gases with different densities generated during different experiments can be completely emitted; The guide plate is equipped with a spray system inside, which can neutralize and react acidic gases in the exhaust gas before discharge.

10. Circulating water dilution system
In the experiment conducted inside the perchloric acid fume hood, there may be an aerosol release process of perchloric acid, so the fume hood needs to be ventilated under the condition of rated high air volume. The design values are 1200/1500/1800 CMH respectively. The chemical reaction between perchloric acid and alkaline water behind the fume hood guide plate is:

The neutralized product is a neutral product with a pH value between 714, so the cyclic treatment system designed in this project is made of materials that are resistant to chemical corrosion.
A buffer tank is set up at the lower part of the fume hood, and a PP water pump is connected to the outlet side. The water pump is connected to the atomization pipe behind the guide plate. The water pump outputs the alkali solution to the atomization pipe in a medium pressure form, and after passing through the atomization pipe, it mixes and contacts with the gas of perchloric acid in the form of small water droplets to complete the chemical reaction. Under the influence of gravity, the product enters the buffer tank of the water pump again through the technical interlayer for circulation.
